Vero served at the general contract for Movement on Montrose (MoM), a versatile event space in Albany Park.  Led by the Logan Foundation, MoM is dedicated to fostering creativity and community engagement.

Within this 7,800 square foot space, Vero built out three 800+ square foot dance studios complete with specialized Marley flooring (also known as spring flooring), which is ideal for dance and movement-based practices.  Each of the studios feature large mirrors, adjustable lighting, and a high-quality audiovisual system – one of the studios even features aerial rigging hooks. MoM’s 1,500 foot performance space also features aerial rigging hooks and the excellent lighting and AV found in the rehearsal studios, as well as access to the lounge and a green room with lighted mirrors. Rounding out the space are a lovely reception area with curved laminated wood desk, a locker room and coat room, and ADA-compliant bathrooms.

The building itself was originally intended to be multi-tenant retail development, but Vero unified the interior to create a cohesive flow throughout the space.  Large windows were already in place, but Vero applied aluminum mullions to strengthen the glazing, which also had the effect of a more pleasing aesthetic.

The Logan Foundation created MoM to provide a multipurpose space for non-profit and private organizations seeking classes, rehearsals, meeting and gallery space.  MoM was designed to be flexible and easily adapt to the needs of the community it serves.  Vero is honored to be a part of this exciting and important community arts hub.
