The Publishing House B&B is an urban loft in the heart of Chicago’s hottest neighborhood, the West Loop.  Vero worked with the Building’s owners, architects and Interior Designer, Siren Betty Design, to re-envision the building’s use.

Constructed in 1909 as the Free Methodist Publishing House,  The Publishing House team transformed the house into an 11-room bed and breakfast, earning the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Small Project Award in 2021

In addition to creating the dramatic decorative stairs, the high-end interior finishes and the custom-fabricated fixtures, Vero served as general contractor, overseeing the entire construction of this unique space.

The Publishing House B&B shares the historic building with a Weet Loop staple for 20 years; Solo Salon. Also in the building is a great escape from the hustle of the West Loop, The Press Room, an intimate wine bar and restaurant. Vero provided custom fabrication and general contracting services for both of these spaces as well, which contributes to the aesthetic and continuity of the entire redevelopment.
