We turned a dark, grimy hot dog stand into a space as bright and bold as the Lebanese-Mexican cuisine it serves. As general contractor for Evette’s, we overhauled the entire storefront with new electrical and HVAC, flooring, light fixtures, and a custom counter made from salvaged wood. We removed ancient drywall to reveal the building’s brick bones, then painted them, and the buildings exterior, a vibrant turquoise. Perhaps our favorite features in the space are the large sliding windows and front-facing countertop, which served as a pickup window during COVID and later transitioned to the best people-watching spot in Lincoln Park.
